The Skylotec OBX BG Karabiner is a hot-forged light alloy oval carabiner with the Brilock (BG) closure system. Ideal for constructing belays, for connecting yourself to an anchor and for critical connections (e.g. belay lanyards, auto-block knots and out of sight anchor points etc.).
Main features:
equipped with the Brilock closure system which combines the ease of use of a screw gate with additional security of an automatic lock;
in the Neutral mode the connector is closed and the sleeve is free to rotate on itself without the lever opening and thus avoiding the risk of accidental opening due to vibrations, rubbing, impacts etc.
in the Open mode the sleeve remains open to facilitate the performance of manoeuvres;
oval shape for optimal positioning of devices and ropes;
ergonomic shape which enables a good opening of the lever and improves handling;
reinforced contact areas for better rope sliding and resistance to wear and tear;
the line between the nose and the internal part of the connector is smooth and facilitates insertion and/or disconnection from anchors, tools and ropes;
catch-free closure.
