Our Story
Orbit Equipment is built on real-world experience.

Our Managing Director, Steve Taylor, began his work at height journey in 2002, working abroad in New Zealand on dockyard conveyor projects. It was there he learned first-hand how critical correct equipment selection is for safety and efficiency.
After returning to the UK, Steve:
Gained his IRATA rope access qualification in 2003
Worked across multiple sectors including rail, tree surgery, entertainment, and equipment sales
Progressed to become a highly experienced IRATA Level 3, a qualification he still holds today

In 2019, the idea for a specialist equipment supplier was born. Although delayed by the pandemic, the vision never faded. In 2024, the opportunity arose to revive and rebrand the business as Orbit Equipment Ltd, establishing our North Wales distribution warehouse near Pwllheli.
​
By March 2025, after countless hours of work and investment, our website launched and our very first order followed almost immediately.
